Activity

Ilmiya’s Activity feature provides real-time insights into student engagement, helping educators monitor progress, analyze learning habits, and deliver personalized support. It includes two main components.

Activity Dashboard

A class-level overview showing:

• All students with learning streaks and total time spent
• Daily study breakdown and performance trends
• Color-coded study time — each day’s tile is colored by how many minutes a student spent on the platform

Note

Each color represents a checkpoint on the way to a 60-minute daily goal. Time spent is currently tracked as one combined daily total — it isn’t yet split out by app (LMS, Aide, Canvas).

How to use it:

• Identify active vs. inactive students
• Compare engagement patterns across the class
• Track trends over time
• Filter and sort by engagement level to provide timely support or rewards

Student Activity Page

An individual-level deep dive showing:

• Total time spent and sessions completed
• Average session length
• Calendar view of study consistency
• Detailed session logs

Total Time Spent  = summed stored duration for the student, formatted as hours/minutes/seconds
Total Sessions    = number of distinct days with any recorded time
Average Session   = Total Time Spent ÷ Total Sessions

Note

Time spent has two separate systems behind it: a lightweight live-presence signal that powers Streams’ “who’s online” view, and the stored daily duration used for all time totals and reports above. The two are independent — presence doesn’t feed the time totals.

How to use it:

• Monitor study consistency over time
• Identify areas of concern or sudden drops in engagement
• Track improvement after interventions
• Discuss progress with individual students using specific data
