Ilmiya’s Families module helps institutions organize students and guardians into clear family groups, improving communication, coordination, and overall engagement.
Create Families
Section titled “Create Families”The Family feature groups related students under a single family profile, simplifying management of academic records, attendance, and guardian information.
How to Create a New Family
Section titled “How to Create a New Family”- Click the ”+” icon on the right side of the screen.
- Enter the family name (e.g., “ABC Family”).
- Choose a visual representation:
- Search emojis
- Browse icons
- Select Signed for verified families
- Or Cancel to skip
- The new family profile is created, ready for linking students and adding notes.

Managing Families
Section titled “Managing Families”The Manage Family section is divided into three tabs: Overview, Guardian, and Student.
Overview Tab
Section titled “Overview Tab”- Displays family name, status (active/inactive), and uploaded images
- Administrators can edit details and update status
- Provides a quick snapshot of family demographics
Guardian Tab
Section titled “Guardian Tab”- Lists all guardians linked to the family
- Add, edit, or remove guardians to keep information accurate
- Ensures smooth institutional operations
Student Tab
Section titled “Student Tab”- Shows all students associated with the family
- View student details, assign students, or make updates
- Supports relationship management and accurate record-keeping
